Conventional AC units use expensive complicated parts that use more energy to counteract the naturally occurring Joule-Thomson effect. When a gas passes through a restriction, ice will form on the outside of containment vessel.
During the hottest part of the day, your malfunctioning unit freezes up, it takes hours to thaw out. Does this make any sense. The frozen ice blocks the airflow.
By not using all the complex expensive sub systems, our wearable AC systems freeze up intentionally. Then micro fans blow over and around ice formations to keep you cool.

As global climate temperatures continue to rise each year, it is now necessary to address the comfort and personal safety for any individual that wants to work or enjoy the outdoors, away from conventional air conditioners found in their homes and places of business.
Unlike convention heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HAVC) system designs, PACA does not try to combat the Joule–Thomson effect, it utilizes this natural phenomenon, to obtain 28–42-degree temperature drops of the surrounding area. Since PACA is worn close to the skin, the cooling effect is highly amplified.
When a typical window unit AC fails to counteract the naturally occurring Joule–Thomson effect, it freezes up and becomes nonoperational for a significant amount of time, before the ice melts, restoring normal operation. PACA, utilizes this freezing state, and blows air over/around the frozen components.
The first generation of PACA will be a self-contained USB 3C rechargeable hat insert, that can be incorporated into all current “Ball Cap”, women’s fashion, hardhats, helmets, thus insuring multiple immediate practical applications of this revolutionary tech.

In thermodynamics, the Joule-Thomson effect (also known as the joule-kelvin effect or kelvin-joule effect) describes the temperature change of a real gas or liquid (as differentiated from an ideal gas when it is forced through a valve or porous plug while keeping it insulated so that no heat is exchanged with the environment. This procedure is called a throttling process or joule-thomson process.

At room temperature, all gases except hydrogen, helium, and neon cool upon expansion by the joule-thomson process when being throttled through an orifice.
Theory of operation:
1. One of “X” number of the holding tanks is filled with an inert gas such as helium, argon, neon krypton, xenon, or radon.
2. The spinning valve connecting the tanks is powered by a battery that can be charged by solar or USB charger, transfers the gas from one tank to the next, in a never-ending rotation.
3. Condensation will form on the tanks in the form of ice. The fans then blows over the freezing cold iced tanks onto the user’s head.
4. The result is a significant decrease of temp from the top of the head, down to the center of chest of the wearer.
The PACA unit is charged via USB C and/or solar cells. The power is stored in a battery similar to a current cell phone battery. The battery powers the fans that blow the hot ambient air over the frozen condensation tanks and also powers the small electric motor that through a series of gears, turns the spinning solenoid valve, allowing the gas from one tank to empty into the next tank.
This makes frozen condensation form on the exterior of the tanks. Then the surrounding air is blown down over the frozen tanks, dramatically cooling the head and upper torso of the wearer.
The result is being cooler than a person not wearing the hat. This increases enjoyment for outside activities in hot climates, increases productivity, and decreases accidents due to heat related fatigue/exhaustion in commercial or war time activities.
By no longer having to take time to wipe sweat from eyes and face, the wearer is more comfortable and can focus on the task at hand completely, uninterrupted, thus increasing productivity and decreasing man hours to complete projects.
